Events At Gurnard is the name for the function suites at the former Gurnard Pines Leisure Centre. With the management of a dedicated team with a combined experience in the trade of over 40 years, we are confident that we can take care of any aspect of your next event; whether it is a birthday or banquet, a concert, conference, a function or feast, check with us first!

What We Can Offer

All The Entertainment – All In One Place!

A party is not complete without some fantastic entertainment and we are in a great position to offer you the best.

We have bands and DJs on speed dial or, if you bring your own band, we have a stage, all the sound and lighting and an engineer for a reasonable rate.

Spent all your budget on a band but fancy a bit of late night dancing? You’re welcome to bring your own play list and plug it into our system. Our house disco lights are activated by the music so we’ll have a party!

Do something different, book some comedians for the night. We have access to the top comedians on the current UK circuit or we can arrange for a visit from Comedy Waiters or even a Comedy Murder Mystery!

General Events

Shows, Charity Fundraisers & Award Ceremonies

Talk to us about your next award ceremony, fund raiser or show and see how we can make your budget go further. We can assist in selling tickets, promoting and liaising with you to make sure everything goes to plan, looks as it should and above all runs to plan!

We have the perfect facility for you, our Ballroom can hold up to 350 people. It has a stage, sound and lighting facilities it has its own private bar, which is perfect for Interval refreshments and snacks. All you need to do is show up; we can take care of all technical arrangements and have an engineer in place for the whole event.

Special Occasions 

Whether it is a 90th Birthday, Anniversary, Christening or a Christmas Party, Events at Gurnard can create the perfect event for you! We have three varied sized rooms for hire that can cater for any occasion.

We have in house event planners that can help to create your special day, so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy!

For large events, we can offer the Ballroom. A huge room that can easily seat 240 people for dinner and still leave room to dance. The room has a large private bar attached to it and there is a stage with a separate DJ and sound booth. Disco and stage lighting is installed and we can arrange for an engineer and/or DJ for your event or you can arrange for your own entertainment if you prefer.

The Chartroom is a slightly smaller room and has its own bar as well, ideal for smaller dinner parties or maybe a buffet style event for up to 100 people.

Children’s Parties

We love children’s parties, whether it is playing in monkey mansion, having a ball in the pool or maybe you are looking for a sweet 16th extravaganza then we can do it all.

Our children’s soft play area is great for parties up to 8 years old, for the older children why not have a pool party, nerf party, magician’s, photo booths, giant garden games or hire in the rodeo bull and have a real Cowboys and Indians party and we can even ensure there are plenty of beans!

With space for bouncy castles indoors and outside with areas for the adults to relax you will not have to worry about your child’s party being stress free, easy and great fun.
